The Prototyping, Impact and Acceleration (PIA) R&D funding call is an opportunity for research staff at UK universities to bid for up to £10,000 to develop new ideas and complete existing research related to Virtual Production (VP) and the themes of XR Network+:
- VP Integration of virtual game worlds and physical content.
- Sound Design in VP.
- Environments, Characters and Objects.
- Digital Assets, Data, Ethics, and Intellectual Property.
- AI and data-driven automation.
- Translation and Impact in the Digital Economy.
XR Network+ will award up to 20 grants to projects that help establish new relationships between academia and industry. The projects must be informed by industry and focus on short term interactions and testing ideas.
