Overview

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme allows a UK registered business or not-for-profit organisation to partner with a UK higher education (HE) or further education (FE) institution, research technology organisation (RTO) or Catapult.

The aim of the  partnership is to bring new skills and the latest academic thinking into businesses/organisations to deliver a specific, strategic innovation project and have one to two graduates to  work on the project.

In this round, Innovate UK is investing up to £10 million towards the funding of projects in addition to businesses contributing to the costs.

Additionally, £2 million is available for Management KTPs that focus on improving productivity within a business, with the business partners also contributing to the project costs.

Each application must be led by a knowledge base partner (eg the HE/FE institution, Catapult or research organisation) , working with a business partner.
