It has been eight, very short, weeks since we launched our premium membership and we are enjoying meeting and collaborating with our new premium members and planning the next steps for Immerse UK.

We’ve welcomed some amazing new founder members such as Epic Games, Microsoft, BAE Systems and StoryFutures, to name but a few, and we are really excited about using their in-depth industry knowledge and network to help raise the profile of the UK immersive tech industry and support the start-ups and scale ups to compete on a global scale.

We’re also seeing some amazing immersive tech projects from our premium members being showcased on the website. There is definitely some really outstanding work taking place across the industry, both from an enterprise and creative perspective.

There are many ways in which Immerse UK can support the Immersive tech sector in the UK alongside our premium membership offer.  All our members and subscribers receive our newsletter with updates on events and latest funding calls as well as the latest news and events on our Immerse UK events page.  Our competition briefing events around the UK, supporting the roll out of ISCF, Innovate UK and other government funded R&D competitions happen year round, we will keep you informed of all funding opportunities in immersive tech as they happen as many new announcements are expected to be made in the next few weeks.  Keep an eye out for our free KTN competition webinars too, all of which you can find in our newsletter.

2020 will see us on the road a lot!  Asha Easton has been around parts of the UK in January meeting with companies and organisations in Bristol, Cardiff, Warton, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham & Coventry. We are in Brighton meeting companies in the South East on 17 March and more road shows are planned for Scotland, the North East and Northern Ireland in the coming months.  Keep up to date with our newsletter to find out what we are up to.

Our policy development and advocacy work is where everyone also plays a big part.  Your input into the annual Immersive Economy Report informs policy development and highlights the opportunities for growth and the barrier to innovation facing UK sector as well as an overview of what’s happening in the regions.  All of our conversations with you and your views of where support is needed are listened to, consolidated and fed back to decision makers and funding bodies on an ongoing basis.

If promoting what you do and showcasing your projects is what you are after, then The Directory and Showcase is what you should look at signing up for.

We are launching a twice monthly Lunchtime Live webinar series for 2020, looking at everything from tax credits to university research and working with the NHS. If you want to keep up to speed from the comfort of your chair at a cuppa, then look no more.  In February we bring our fab 25 Founders together for the first time to help collectively shape our work for the year ahead followed by a great opportunity for us all to visit Epic Games Innovation Lab in central London.

But above anything else, the thanks goes to you, our community, for sticking with us and supporting the growth of the Immersive tech sector in the UK, we are only as good as the members we represent.  Come join the conversation and lets work together to make 2020 a good one. You can join or upgrade to premium membership easily – just click on the button on the top right hand corner of this page.
